BAFARAWA, THE OPPORTUNISTIC SCARVENGER, SHOULD FACE SECURITY

Over a long period of time now, there have been calls on federal and state governments to expose anyone involved in any way with bandits and terrorists that have refused to give Nigerians peace of mind.

In Sokoto state however, it has become crystal clear that former governor Attahiru Bafarawa is harboring such killer moguls as discovered and disclosed by his son who is an arms and ammunition supplier, a bandits informer and a close associate to many bandit kingpins  especially in the north western region of the country.

When he was arrested by security operatives, the criminal Bafarawa did not hide his relationship with the former governor nor had the former governor regretted having anything to do with his son, but life goes on very normal for them while the killings have continued unabated.

There is therefore the need for Nigeria's security to step up action against whoever is involved in the killing of the innocent, no matter how highly placed.

How can Bafarawa who usually travels by road into Sokoto through Zamfara without stopping for once to console his neighbors over these  killings not to ever think of consoling the people of Zamfara, or is it because condeming such acts will lead to the killing of his son's employers. Why couldn't he tell the security to deal squarely with the matter involving his son.

Instead, Bafarawa is now romancing with the Sokoto state governor Aminu Tambuwal who is nursing a presidential ambition in the 2023 elections in the country with the hope of getting more cover for himself and family members involved in the banditry activities.

On Monday, 7/2/2022, while the people of Zamfara were burying their dead whose lives were cut short by Bafarawa's son's business partners, the former governor and father to the criminal was in Gusau, the state capital in a happy mood along with Aminu Tambuwal to campaign for the latter for the presidency where they were received by the state deputy governor, Mahadi Ali Gusau who was also recently allegedly linked to armed bandits' sponsorship, an information that is yet to be clearly explained to Nigerians, agsin, because those involved have legs in high places.
