Gov. Matawalle Inspects Eagle Square Ahead Of APC's Presidential Primaries








His Excellency,  Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle, MON, FSESN, (Shattiman Sokoto, Barden Hausa) who is also the Sub-committee Chairman of the All Progressives Congress  Presidential Primaries on Venue and site servicing has paid a special visit to the Venue of the upcoming Primaries on 6th and 7th June 2022.




The Governor went round the Eagle Square, Abuja, the Venue of the primaries and directed that the arrangement must take care of  delegates' and other important dignitries convenient sitting on specific raws, in alphabetical orders, and according to their respective states.




The hired  events managers briefed His Excellency on the progress so far and assured him of excellent performance to ensure successful hosting of the event.




The Chairman further directed that more lighting should be ensured in the Venue in order to give the entire area a very colorful illumination during the event.




The  Chairman was conducted round and briefed on the different compartmentalizations of the Venue from the Entry point, to the Exit. 




Other components of the venue include a very transparent and open arrangement of an area demarcated for the ballot boxes, red carpet area for VIPs, and delegates' pavilions among others.




The Chairman assured that there will be a very interesting arrangement of the Venue as well as other site services required for the successful conduct of the primaries.




Governor Bello Matawalle during the inspection met with his colleague, the Chairman of the Security and Compliance Sub-committee Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State in company of his Co-Chair Gen. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (Rtd.), former Interior Minister.

First Bank fuels investors’ wealth with additional N329bn in one week

Last week, the bulls ran the bears underground, with interest in First Bank of Nigeria Holding (FBNH) pushing market capitalisation up by additional N329 billion to berth at N21.6 trillion. Trading activity was strengthened as average volume and value traded rose 66.3 per cent and 119.9 per cent week-on-week ( w/w) respectively. Leading the most traded stocks by volume were FBNH (1.1 billion units), GTCO (118.2 million units), and ETI (107.7 million units) while FBNH (N12.3 billion), SEPLAT (N1.1 billion), and ZENITH (N810.6 million) led trades by value. The local bourse sustained gains on all trading days save Monday. Accordingly, the benchmark index rose 1.4 per cent week-on -week (w/w) to 41,438.15 points following strong buying interest in FBNH (+29.6 per cent), GTCO (+3.5 per cent), and WAPCO (+3.2 per cent). “₦30” BILLION FG INTERVENTION AND THE EMPTY ZAMFARA MARKETS.

Not long ago, in the wake of food and economic crisis in Nigeria , a startling announcement came through the Senate chambers of the National Assembly. The Senate President Godswill Akpabio revealed that the Federal Government of Nigeria had disbursed ₦30 billion to each state Governor, which was outside of their regular statutory allocation.
